Meeting Tonight

Troop 540,
 
UPDATE: All Monroe Woodbury schools will be closing early today. Therefore, our troop meeting will be canceled for tonight. Scout elections will be next week. For those that still need to update their forms or hand in checks for the Albany trip, please make arrangements to see me at my house prior to Friday.

Look for an email from me around 3:00pm today.  They’re calling for 1-3 inches of snow by tonight and rain after that.
 
If we have to cancel tonight’s meeting, elections will be held at the next meeting.  Those that either need to still hand in their paperwork or payments or need to update their paperwork for the Albany trip, will need to make arrangements to come to my house to do so.

Albany Indoor Rock Climbing

I still need some people to hand in their forms or payment. Also, I just looked through the entire set of paperwork. There are a number of people that need to add additional information to their forms. I will bring them in at this Tuesday’s meeting for you to update. Please review the list below, if your name is highlighted, you either have to still pay and/or still hand in the paperwork or you need to fill in missing information. Please make sure you take care of this on Tuesday. I’d hate for your child to get all the way up to Albany and they tell them that they can’t participate because something was not completed on the forms.

This Week’s Elections

Troop 540,
 
This Tuesday, we will be voting on new leadership.   I need all of the scouts that have the rank of Star or higher to respond back to this email and let me know if you want to be included on the ballot for the next Senior Patrol Leader.
 
Also, we will be assigning a “Den Chief” in this election period.  A Den Chief will be responsible for going to the Webelos den for Pack 340, 2 nights a month to assist the den leader in his meeting.  Please respond back to me if you are interested in this position of responsibility.  This is an important position for the troop because it will most likely generate new scouts to the troop that we really need, in order to bring younger scouts back into the troop.

2017 JamboreeRallyThere is a Jamboree Rally this Sunday from 1:00-2:30pm in the Chester Academy Auditorium, 100 Hambletonian Ave., Chester, NY 10918. If any of you are interested in going to the 2017 National Jamboree in July and you have questions, you should attend this rally.

Troop Meeting Tomorrow

Thanks to Pete Walker and Bill D’Amelio for offering to cover the meeting tomorrow. I won’t be able to be there.
  
We will not have a green bar meeting tomorrow. 
  
We will have the general meeting that will start at 7:30pm.  Please be prepared to work on merit badges and requirements for tomorrow.

UPDATE 2 – Tuesday, February 9, 5:00pm: It looks like the weather is going to hold out. We will have a meeting tonight. I’ll see you all tonight. 

UPDATE – Tuesday, February 9: Look for an email from me at around 5:00pm tonight.  Because of the pending snow forecast, we may need to cancel the meeting tonight.

We will be meeting tomorrow night at North Main.
 
The green bar starts at 7:00pm.  We will be talking about the upcoming trips (Albany, Hiking at Bull Mine and Camping at Alpine).
 
The general meeting starts at 7:30pm.  For those that haven’t paid or handed in their forms for the Albany trip, please do so tomorrow night.
