New Scoutmaster of Troop 540

Hello Troop 540.

It is official. I am the new scoutmaster of Troop 540. It is an honor to work with the boy scouts of Troop 540 and hope to make this year a successful year. So the first order of business is our first troop meeting. It will be on Tuesday the 13th of September in North Main Elementary. Green bar will start at 7:00pm and we will hold election later in the evening for patrol leaders.

I need volunteers to help out on Saturday and Sunday, September 3 and 4, for the Civil War Reenactment at Museum Village for the parking detail. I will be there Saturday in the morning and, if possible, Sunday morning. I will send out email later today for tours.

We also need to get ready for the 911 memorial. Scout will be needed to set up chairs and assists in ceremony (i will have more details to follow about that by Friday.

Please bare with me as this e-mail / web stuff is all new to me. If you have any questions please call me or text me at 845-248-0550. However, your best bet is to text me and I will get back to you.

I know i have some big shoes to fill. Mr. Hess and Mr. Walker are great scoutmasters and i hope to live up to their standards.

Sincerely,

Hiram Ramos, New Scoutmaster – Troop 540
