This Weekend’s Camping Trip

Troop 540,

We’re all set for the camping trip this weekend. We have decided to meet at the Arden Parking Lot in Harriman State Park on Saturday morning at 11:00am (New York 17A and Arden Valley Rd., Southfields, NY).

Directions:  Take Arden Valley Road over the NYS Thruway. The parking lot will be on your right.

Mr. Buckley will meet us there with the trailer. Those scouts that were responsible for the meals, please show up at 11:00am SHARP. You will load up the trailer and we’ll be on our way to Camp Wabanaki. We will be leaving the camp site at 11:15am SHARP. If you’re not there by 11:15am, we will leave without you. We will stay over night and hike back out Sunday morning. We will meet the parents in the same Arden parking lot at 8:00am SHARP. Please be sure to be on time, as I have to get Christian to Church by 9:30am as part of his confirmation requirements. Thank you.

We will hold a fishing derby on Saturday. We’ll also work on some scouts skills. There will be some free time to play basketball or work on scout skills or to continue to fish. Troop Meeting Cancelled

Good Morning Troop 540,

I hope you’re all safe, warm and at home today. The meeting for tonight has been cancelled due to the weather. We will have our Scoutmaster conference and Board of Review next Tuesday.

I will also be handing out the neckerchiefs then.

I’d like to get a report from the merit badge counselors as to what the progress has been with your scouts. If you could all email me back and let be know how many scouts have completed their requirements, how many are a partial and how many didn’t even start. Thanks. My goal would be to have the merit badges complete in the next month; if possible.
