Fundraising Tag Sale

You may have heard, St. Anastasia’s is coordinating and advertising a Tag Sale to be held in their parking lot this Saturday, May 21, from 9:00am to 2:00pm.

Please be reminded, that if any parent/guardian should need assistance with funds for sending a scout to summer camp they should speak to Charlie or the scout master. Charlie regularly issues reminders of this at the committee meetings. It has been noted, any interest should be expressed and worked out by the Early Bird Deadline.

I consulted with Mr. Hess and felt this fundraising opportunity was in good timing with this deadline and have volunteered to host a Troop 540 table. I have made a donation to reserve a parking spot and will be donating proceeds to the Troop’s Leave No Scout Behind Summer Camp Fund.

Please let me know if you would like to assist your time selling, or have items to donate for this Saturday.

All those interested in selling, should wear the Red troop shirt, wear sunscreen, bring a camping chair, and bring a bag lunch with a water bottle. The Faith Formation Center bathrooms will be available.

All those interested in donating items, and can not bring them Saturday morning may bring small items to tomorrow’s meeting.

I have a lazy boy recliner we could try to sell but need assistance transporting it to Harriman (and if unsold transported back to Monroe).

Any unsold clothes, shoes, purses, comforters, curtains, linens may be donated to the donations box in the other church parking lot. However, other unsold items will not be permitted in their trash containers and will need to be picked up by 230.

Christmas at Museum Village

Good Morning Troop 540,

Museum Village is looking for some volunteers today for their Christmas in the Village event.  They need help in the parking lot (a couple of scouts and their parents) from11:30am until 3:00pm.  They may also need help on the grounds, since there will probably be a big crowd.

They will allow scouts to sell their wreaths there if they wish, by the entrance to the reception building.

Let me know if you can make it. Thanks,

Jon Hess – Scoutmaster, Troop 540
