First Scout Meeting of 2017

All,

NO MEETING TOMORROW – Tues. 1/3/17.

We will have our first Scout meeting of 2017 on Tues. 1/10/17. Green bar – 7:00pm, General meeting – 7:29pm.

We have some key events to review including: Recruiting with the Woodbury Cub Pack (1/23/17 event) and Winter Camping – TBD.

For those few that have NOT paid Mrs. Crown for your Wreath fundraiser money, please note that it is overdue. Please coordinate your payment with Mrs. Crown ASAP.

November – Camping, Dues and Lacuna Eagle Project

All,

For tonight’s meeting (Tues. 11/15), please “be prepared” to:

  • RSVP to camping at Camp Nooteeming (Dutchess County) – Fri. 11/18 – Sun. 11/20
  • Finalize dues for those who have not paid. No dues, no camping.

Mike Lacuna’s Eagle Project will begin on Sat. 11/26, beginning at 9:00am, at St. Anastasia’s Cemetery. Dress warm, wear work clothes and gloves. Meet near CCD building.

Applebee’s Fundraiser and other Fall 2016 events

Troop 540,

Regarding the Appleby’s Fundraiser:

  • Please download the Applebee’s flyer and Applebee’s tickets
  • Please plan to sell at least (4) tickets per Scout
  • Please bring any money from tickets already sold to our next troop meeting on Tuesday, October 18
  • Please bring any last minute ticket money to the event on Saturday, October 22
  • All scouts should be in uniform and report to Applebee’s at 7:30am (Woodbury Common) for set-up
  • The event runs from 8:00-10:00am for the general public

Separately, please note the following upcoming events for Fall 2016:

  • Wabanaki – Harriman State Park Hike – Sat. 10/29 – appx. 8am – 3pm (hike / fishing / bring bag lunch) (more details to follow)
  • Nooteeming Campout – Fri / Sat / Sun. 11/18 – 11/20 (Salt Point, NY)
  • Wreath Sales – Nov.- Dec. 2016
  • Winter Cabin Campout – TBD – Jan. 2017

Camp Alpine camping – 9/23 – 9/25

All,

Please be prepared at tomorrow night’s meeting to RSVP to Camp Alpine camping. As usual, we are considering a two-night tent campout. Meal assignments to be handed out tomorrow night, Tuesday, 9/20. Camp Alpine shooting ranges and climbing wall are expected to be open.

Camp Alpine is conveniently located 45 min. away, just off the Palisades Interstate Parkway (just over the NJ border).

Mrs. Crown will be collecting dues for this year. Please bring your checkbook.
