Applebee’s Fundraiser and other Fall 2016 events

Troop 540,

Regarding the Appleby’s Fundraiser:

  • Please download the Applebee’s flyer and Applebee’s tickets
  • Please plan to sell at least (4) tickets per Scout
  • Please bring any money from tickets already sold to our next troop meeting on Tuesday, October 18
  • Please bring any last minute ticket money to the event on Saturday, October 22
  • All scouts should be in uniform and report to Applebee’s at 7:30am (Woodbury Common) for set-up
  • The event runs from 8:00-10:00am for the general public

Separately, please note the following upcoming events for Fall 2016:

  • Wabanaki – Harriman State Park Hike – Sat. 10/29 – appx. 8am – 3pm (hike / fishing / bring bag lunch) (more details to follow)
  • Nooteeming Campout – Fri / Sat / Sun. 11/18 – 11/20 (Salt Point, NY)
  • Wreath Sales – Nov.- Dec. 2016
  • Winter Cabin Campout – TBD – Jan. 2017

We need new scouts. Keep recruiting your friends!

Troop 540,

Mrs. Donahue needs to know how many people are coming from your family and friends to the Applebee’s fundraiser this Saturday? Please reply back to this email by tomorrow with your total head count. We will need the older scouts to help in the kitchen and the younger scouts to help set, serve and clean the tables. I have attached the Applebee’s tickets to sell to your families and friends.

Also, I will be collecting the final medical forms (download here) by this Friday. You need to also include a copy of your current health insurance card and have all of the immunization dates listed and any medications listed and signed by your physician. My address is: 6 Crescent Place Monroe, NY. You can leave the forms in my mailbox, which is directly across the street from my house.

Next Tuesday we will hold our troop meeting at the middle school pool, starting at 7:30pm and we will swim until about 9pm. Please bring about $10 to cover the expense of the pool for the night. We will be working on scout requirements in the pool. For those that don’t have to work on requirements, you can still go and help out the younger scouts to earn their swimming requirements.

Tomorrow’s Meeting

Troop 540,

We will meet at North Main tomorrow.  Green Bar starts at 7:00pm.  The general meeting starts at 7:30pm.

The scouts that went camping, need to bring in the tents tomorrow for inspection.

I will be collecting the medical forms tomorrow night for the Spring Camporee.  If you don’t hand in the forms completed, you will not be able to go to the Camporee next month.  Sorry, no excuses.  If you are unable to attend the meeting tomorrow, please have them dropped off to my house this week, no later than Friday.  Any forms handed in after this Friday, will not be accepted.  I will register the final numbers for the Camporee this Friday night.  My address is: 6 Crescent Place, Monroe, NY 10950. You can download the medical form here.

You can also download the tickets for the Applebee’s fundraiser this Saturday.  Please sell your tickets and give Mrs. Donahue the money for the sale of the tickets.

Merit badges can start officially.  Those that need to finish the remainder of your last merit badge, please do so.  If any scouts haven’t signed up for a merit badge, please let me know by tomorrow, so we can get you signed up for one.  We will have time during the meetings to work on merit badges.
